Education and Community Engagement

2016-2017 Sound Education

Our expanded educational programming continues this season starting with Play Dat! (a community side-by-side) in September and concluding with Band Together for high school students in April. In the fall, the Early Explorers program explores the connections between math and music and in the winter, the Young People’s Concerts are all about the rhythmic elements of music. The LPO is once again partnering with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute for these concerts which also include performances by the Young Artists’ Concerto Competition winners.
The LPO is also proud to work with KIDsmART and Music National Service.
