Education & Community Engagement

The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra offers experiences and resources for all ages. Learn more about:

  • Sound Education: These educational concerts include Early Explorers for PreK - 1st Grade, Young People's Concerts for 2nd-8th, and Band Together for 9th-12th. We also host Open Rehearsals and Family Concerts for all ages.
  • Community Engagement: From Play Dat!, our community side-by-side, to our Young Artists' Concerto Competition and Festival PiaNOLA Masterclass, to our community outreach programs Music For Life and Soul Strings, learn about how our musicians and staff engage with our greater community.
  • Educational Resources: The LPO staff provides weekly Lesson Plans for teachers throughout the year. Check in occasionally for updates to our Music Teacher Toolbox, with resources for home and school educators, as well as our annual Musical Louisiana lesson plans produced with the Historic New Orleans Collection.
