2nd Grade – 8th Grade
Come see what melodies are coming our way with The LPO Moves! Young People’s Concerts for 2nd through 8th grade students.
The LPO partners with Carnegie Hall’s Link Up program for these concerts, which offers students the opportunity to sing or play along with the LPO on recorders or string instruments.
What is it? It is supplementary material that goes along with the Young People’s Concert in which students are given the opportunity to join the orchestra in this highly participatory program. They learn to sing and play an instrument in the classroom and perform with a professional orchestra from their seats at a culminating concert with the LPO.
During the 2020–2021 season, they will participate in The Orchestra Moves. This curriculum that can be interwoven into your current plans and is accompanied by student and teacher workbooks, recordings, and supplemental materials that can all be found online. And it is all free!
Who Can Participate? Any school or music program!! There are participatory parts for singing, recorders, or stringed instruments. Not a music teacher? No worries – there’s a teacher guide to help you along the way.
