Doug Therrien *

Doug studied double bass performance at the U.N.O Department of Music under the direction of Ellis Marsalis, Jr. Later, he studied privately with Miloslav Hrdlik, Tony Yang, and Timothy Pitts. After Hurricane Katrina, Doug relocated to Los Angeles and performed with Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra, Downey Symphony, Asia America Symphony, etc.

He can currently be heard playing with the Louisiana Philharmonic, New Orleans Opera, New Resonance Orchestra, New Orleans Chamber Orchestra, and Pensacola Symphony Orchestra.
