Originally from Port Angeles, WA, Hunter Gordon is currently Acting Section Bassoon/Contrabassoon of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. He has played as a contracted member of the Buffalo Philharmonic and Charlotte Symphony, in addition to guest performances with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and symphonies of Houston, Kansas City, Jacksonville and Charleston. Hunter has appeared in summer festivals including the Lakes Area Music Festival, Breckenridge Music Festival, Verbier Festival, Spoleto Festival USA and the National Repertory Orchestra, and now performs in Switzerland and on international tours with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra. His primary teachers are Otto Eifert, George Sakakeeny and Benjamin Kamins.
