Ways to Give
The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s artistic, education, and community programs would not be possible without the generous support of individuals and community partners. Every gift makes a difference and helps to secure a strong, vibrant future for the LPO.
NEW TAX BENEFITS FOR CHARITABLE DONATIONS
There’s never been a better time to give. The new coronavirus bill is granting taxpayers huge incentives for making charitable donations starting in 2020.
Individuals can now deduct up to $300 of cash contributions for taxpayers that elect to not itemize deductions.
For those that itemize, the bill has lifted the cap on annual contributions to 100% of your adjusted gross income (up from 60%). Excess contributions can be carried over to the next year.
These deductions are only for cash donations given directly to qualified organizations, like the LPO. Gifts made through Donor Advised Funds are not eligible for this deduction.
Gifts of Securities
You may have your bank or broker wire transfer the securities directly into the LPO’s account at Raymond James. It is the LPO’s policy to sell all securities immediately upon receipt.
Account Name: Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, 550MF318

You can double or even triple the size of your individual gift with a matching gift from your employer. Current organizations with matching gift programs includes AIG, Bank of America, Capital One, Chevron, Entergy, ExxonMobil, Regions, Shell, FreeportMcMoRan, Textron and UBS.
