Julian Stiles joins the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra as Fourth Horn for the 2026–2027 season. He has also appeared with ensembles including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony, Plano Symphony Orchestra, Irving Symphony Orchestra, Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra, and San Angelo Symphony. His festival appearances include the National Repertory Orchestra, Aspen Music Festival, and Brevard Music Center.
Originally from Hillsdale, New Jersey, Julian holds an undergraduate degree in Horn Performance and Music Education from Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in Horn Performance from Southern Methodist University. His teachers include Daniel Hawkins, Haley Hoops, Gail Williams, and Jonathan Boen.
Alongside performing, he is an active educator maintaining a private teaching studio. Outside of music, Julian enjoys fostering cats, hiking, and exploring New Orleans’ food and arts scenes.
